About the event

This online- only educational event for parents is hosted by Jamie Blank, Pediatric Occupational Therapist & Owner of Sensory Pathways OT. Jamie has over a decade's experience working with children and families with a range of learning, trauma, mental health, sensory & developmental challenges. Jamie wants every Child & family to live well and wants to help Kiwi Parents get the right support and strategies to help their children reach their goals. 

In this 45 minute interactive presentation,  Jamie will introduce & explain basic sensory processing concepts & help you gain insight into the lived experience of your child's sensory processing challenges. Jamie will also highlight how sensory processing difficulties can impact behaviour and discuss  parenting approaches that work best for children with extra sensory needs. Lastly, Jamie will share with you her tried and tested strategies & tools  that can be used to help support children in daily life as well as learning what kinds of treatment and support you can seek out to help with your child's sensory processing needs.
